Great Location - Great Food – Great Service
The Mood: A convenient little lunch spot to escape the crowds of London’s bustling Regent Street, serving up a menu of Tuscan Italian cuisine in a stylish setting.
The elegant, contemporary décor beckons you in, featuring golden wood panelling and hand-painted drawings on the walls that reflect the family-run restaurant´s rich Italian heritage. If the sun is shining, choose to dine alfresco on the street.
The Food: The set lunch menu is a deal at £25.00 per person for two courses (with three choices for each course).
The Ham and Melon was the perfect starter with the smoked flavors of the ham perfectly offsetting the sweet, refreshing melon. The Spaghetti with Chilli and Clams was authentically Italian with a hint of heat from the chillis and full of flavour. It was a perfectly sized portion for lunch that didn’t leave me too full.
Tip: If you don’t eat seafood, substitute the clams for garlic. The dishes were evidently fresh and the attentive waiters were happy to cater to my special requests.
I only wish I’d had more time to enjoy the tasty-looking selection of breads on our table but we only had an hour to dine.
The Verdict: A great option for a quick lunch in Central London. But you could happily stay longer and savour the à la carte menu and extensive wine list.
I will return!
